As a member, you will be able to participate in a variety of SNA events. Just to give you an idea, last year we provided a couple of service opportunities at the Little Bit Foundation, participated in the Homecoming Parade, Make A Difference Day and Dance Marathon, had a trip to the City Museum, volunteered at the Brantley Gilbert concert, and assisted with the White Coat Ceremony for the SLU Nursing sophomores (in addition to other events). We also had representatives from BJC come and provide us advice and information about working at BJC/post grad nursing life and becoming a student tech!
We have many awesome opportunities and events coming this year too! We hope you consider joining this wonderful organization!
Why Join the National Student Nurse's
Association?
What is NSNA? Their mission is "to mentor students preparing for initial licensure as registered nurses, and to convey the standards, ethics, and skills that students will need as responsible and accountable leaders and members of the profession."
What benefits are there? This is a fantastic organization that stands out on a resume. There are opportunities for various scholarships (see "Nursing Scholarships" page), the ability to attend mid-year and annual Convention with over 3,000 nursing students across the country, various programs to help promote leadership and policy-making, and you are able to stay up-to-date with nursing trends across the globe in receiving their newsletter. In addition, there is a wide array of discounts and promotions you will be eligible for. These range from OfficeMax to hotels to NCLEX Review materials.
